Penelope is a professional educational technologist who has led instructional systems design projects for North American majors such as Nortel Networks for PWC, Rogers Communications, MTS Allstream, four British Columbia government ministries and two Canadian railways. She has done online course design for Memorial University of Newfoundland, University of Calgary and TV Ontario.
A career altering six years in China gave her experience as an IELTS examiner in the test’s busiest market, and revealed the acute need for more progressive approaches to IELTS preparation and ESL teaching in general.
David has fifteen years experience managing large and small development projects in both the educational software and mobile markets. From 2000-2010 he held various management positions at Research in Motion, now BlackBerry, including founding the BlackBerry Connect program and heading the enterprise software development group.
She is an executive and lead educator with 45 years experience in open learning being herself one of the first graduates of the British Open University. Her extensive background in both business and educational leadership includes software development, telecommunications and organizational innovation for online learning. She received the Prime Ministers Award for teaching Excellence in 2006.
Reza’s career began at the world’s leading media publishing company LexisNexis where he was subsequently promoted to Key Accounts Manager, serving a portfolio clients such as Grant Thorton. After a number of years in top level sales and business development he launched his own procurement consultancy, part of which he successfully sold to Wolters Kluwer.
